Fairfield Union students earn state honors in athletics, music; district lists spring events

Music program successes were also noted: the Symphonic Band and the men’s ensemble earned superior (1) ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association district competition and will advance to state. Administrators said the women’s ensemble and assembly singers had rescheduled district competitions and would perform the coming weekend.
Principals from Rushville Middle School and Bremen Elementary described middle‑ and elementary‑level events: a suicide prevention program presented in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital for eighth graders at the middle school; Power of the Pen writing competition wins for the middle school with state competition scheduled for May; spring concerts; Shrek performances at the high school; and a military signing night for five seniors.
Administrators also reviewed schedules for spring sports seasons, opening dates for baseball and softball, and a number of planned field trips.
