The Edmond City Council on March 10 approved a site plan application for Centerline Plumbing, a proposed roughly 7,000-square-foot building on Broadway Court west of Broadway Avenue.
Staff said the applicant previously brought the plan to council and returned after revising landscaping to reduce variances. The site is approximately 27,000 square feet and the building will be about 25 feet tall. The applicant proposed two driveways off Broadway Court; staff noted an underground detention structure beneath a terminal island led to removal of a tree and a smaller terminal island than the 200-square-foot standard.
The applicant reported they were able to remove one variance and exceed required landscaped area by about 900 square feet. "We were able to remove that variance and exceeded the landscape area requirement by about 900 square feet," the applicant said.
Planning commission had previously approved the item 4–0. Council voted to approve the site plan; no roll-call tally was given in the transcript.
