Pflugerville Equity Commission elects officers, approves minutes and finalizes 2025 listening-session plan

The Pflugerville Equity Commission approved minutes from its Feb. 10, 2025 meeting, elected officers and moved forward on planning for the commission's 2025 listening sessions, including a draft survey and a schedule staff said must be finalized in April.

Commissioners approved the Feb. 10 minutes by voice vote. The commission then elected Corey Wobeland Douglas as chair after a self-nomination and a second. Dr. Miller self-nominated for vice chair and was elected after a second. The meeting record shows the approvals and elections carried on voice votes recorded as “Aye.”

The meeting's central substantive discussion covered the commission's role in the 2025 listening sessions. Brianna Higgins, identified in the meeting packet as a special project manager, led the presentation and described how recommended actions from a prior listening-session report were distilled into topics the commission might use in public sessions. Staff and commissioners discussed which commissioners would facilitate each monthly session, possible topics, survey design and logistics.
