The House Management Committee approved six ceremonial resolutions at a brief committee meeting, passing each by voice vote.
The measures recognized the Joe T. Robinson High School boys swim team as the 2025 1A–4A state champion (House Resolution 1,065); declared support for Women’s History Month and the work of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas (House Resolution 1,069); recognized AmeriCorps Week (House Resolution 1,066); welcomed a regional chamber of commerce delegation to the statehouse (House Resolution 1,067); designated March 2025 as National Athletic Training Month (House Resolution 1,068); and honored the late Loretta Ford, described in the resolution as the nation’s first nurse practitioner (House Memorial Resolution 1,007).
Representative Dan Vaught of District 87 introduced House Resolution 1,065 to recognize the Joe T. Robinson High School boys swim team as the 2025 1A–4A state champion and answered no committee questions. "I learned something today," Vaught said during his brief remarks. Representative Vaught moved the resolution and it passed by voice vote.
Representative Diane Vaught (District 87) introduced House Resolution 1,069 to celebrate Women’s History Month and to recognize the efforts of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas to improve the economic mobility of women and girls in Arkansas. She took no questions; the committee passed the resolution by voice vote.
Representative Denise Ennett (District 80) introduced House Resolution 1,066 to recognize AmeriCorps Week. There was no committee discussion and Representative Allen moved to pass; the resolution passed by voice vote.
House Resolution 1,067, introduced by a sponsoring member who noted that members of a regional chamber of commerce would be in the gallery the next day, was moved and passed by voice vote. The presenter said chamber members would be at the state capitol the following day.
Representative Jack Lademan (District 32) introduced House Resolution 1,068 to designate March 2025 as National Athletic Training Month. There were no questions and the committee approved the resolution by voice vote.
Representative Bentley introduced House Memorial Resolution 1,007 to honor Loretta Ford, identified in the resolution as the nation’s first nurse practitioner, who died last month at age 107. The committee moved the resolution and approved it by voice vote.
All items on the agenda received no recorded roll-call vote during the meeting; committee approval was taken by voice vote on each resolution. The committee adjourned at the conclusion of the agenda.
