City staff provided updates on multiple infrastructure projects during the March 10, 2025 Easley City Council work session.
Public works staff reported that drainage projects at Lehigh Lane and Morningside Drive are complete. Longview Terrace work is about 95% complete; staff said the contractor will return to address stabilization items. On Inverness Way, crews have reopened the road and installed pipe across the roadway toward the Rogers property; staff said the contractor expected to finish pipe laying if weather permitted, noting progress was at about 70 percent for certain pipe-laying tasks.
The staff update described field observations that some of the soil encountered in the drainage easement was poor quality and required stabilization and that the contractor had sent a superintendent from Pennsylvania to oversee the work. Staff said a stormwater box and easement access had been used to route pipe from the rear of one property across the street.
Separately, a staff member reported the roof at the Law Enforcement Center is nearly complete and that the contractor performed necessary repairs after discovering missing drip edge that had led to damaged fascia and soffit. Staff said most replacement work was finished and final payment was expected to be processed the following week, subject to closing out a couple of small items.
The transcript records these as informational project updates; no formal council actions or votes are recorded in the March 10 work session excerpt.
