Forsyth County proposes interlocal agreement to produce street signs for Rural Hall

Forsyth County staff on March 10 presented a proposed interlocal agreement with the town of Rural Hall for the county to continue producing and selling street name signs to the town.
Chelsea Swaim, deputy general services director, told commissioners the county has provided sign production and installation services to Rural Hall on an as-needed basis since February 2011. The proposed agreement term would run from March 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028, with either party able to terminate on 30 days' written notice.
Swaim said the county will provide materials and labor and Rural Hall will reimburse labor at $34.48 per hour; she added materials and labor pricing would be adjusted annually by the consumer price index on July 1. She told the board Rural Hall approved the agreement at its February 10 meeting and staff recommended placing the resolution on the March 13 agenda for formal action.
No vote was recorded at the March 10 briefing; staff said the item would appear on the March 13 agenda for board consideration.
