Skagit County receives single bid for annual legal printing; decision set for April consent agenda

Amber Earps, a clerk of the board for the Skagit County Board of Commissioners, opened the county's annual call for legal printing bids on Feb. 25 and said state law requires the county to solicit bids once per year for this service.
"We are required by state law to call for bids once a year, and the bids received today will be considered for the next annual cycle, which starts July 1 and ends 06/30/2026," Earps said. The county received one bid from Skagit Publishing, 1215 Anderson Road, Mount Vernon, Washington 98274. Earps read the quote: "$10.76 per column inch."
The commissioners' office will evaluate the bid and is scheduled to place a recommendation on the consent agenda at the board's first meeting in April. Earps said the bid will be evaluated by staff and a decision will be made at that meeting; the bid opening did not itself award the contract.
