Skagit County opens bids for Cisco network switches; Ednetics and CDWG submit offers

Skagit County conducted a sealed-bid opening on Feb. 25 for Cisco network switches, supporting hardware and licensing, county procurement staff said.
"The bid opening...is for the purchase of Cisco network switches, supporting hardware and licensing for Central Services networking team," Greg Camp, procurement and contract coordinator for Skagit County Central Services, said. The county received two bids by the March 7, 2025, 3 p.m. deadline. Camp read the subtotals as $99,359.05 from Ednetics and $171,280.83 from CDWG.
Camp reiterated the bid qualifications: all hardware must be delivered to Central Services at 1700 East College Way, Mount Vernon, Washington 98273 within two months of purchase, and a successful bidder must prove Cisco-certified reseller status and at least five years of relevant sales history. "A successful bidder needs to have all of our...component hardware components delivered to 1700 East College Way...They need, all hardware needs to be delivered within 2 months of from purchase," Camp said.
County staff will take the bids back for technical review with the networking team to confirm part numbers and reseller certification. Camp said the county will post its findings on the Skagit County website after review. No award was made at the bid opening.
