Witness tells board applicant has met probation terms and struggled with financial, family impacts

At a hearing before the Respiratory Care Board of California, Nikki Kalavitis testified in support of applicant Jen Mitchell's efforts to comply with board and legal requirements and to demonstrate personal and professional rehabilitation.

Kalavitis introduced herself as Mitchell's spouse and read a prepared statement describing Mitchell's "incredible transformation," saying Mitchell "has actively sought self awareness, taken accountability for her past mistakes, and has worked tirelessly to reshape her behaviors and decision making." Kalavitis asked the board to "recognize that growth and allow her the chance to move forward free from the limitations of her past."
