Mirasol project cleared: sales center conversion, new indoor pickleball facility and rebuilt gatehouse approved

Palm Beach Gardens city council unanimously approved Resolution 17-2025 on March 6 to convert the Mirasol sales center into a multipurpose building, construct an 18,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility and raise and rebuild the west gatehouse.
Rob Dismore of Urban Design presented the project on behalf of the club. The proposed indoor facility contains seven courts, spectator seating in an elevated lobby, locker rooms, a stretch area and an estimated 35-foot building height. The architect and applicant said exterior finishes and foundation plantings were designed to minimize the visual impact and to avoid the appearance of a generic metal building; the main roof component will be standing-seam metal to meet structural requirements.
The proposal also secures site circulation by gating the eastern driveway and routing all regular traffic through the rebuilt west gatehouse. The plan provides 71 on-site parking stalls (52 standard, 19 golf-cart spaces) and retained landscaping, leaving the dog park unchanged. Planning staff and the planning and zoning appeals board recommended approval. Council members asked about interior acoustics; the architect said acoustical ceiling tile and wall padding would reduce court noise.
Ending: Council approved the resolution unanimously. The applicant and staff said the upgrades respond to a multi-year master plan of club amenities and address security, circulation and an emergent demand for covered racket facilities.
