The Fountain Green Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council approve a conditional‑use permit for Joseph and Heather to allow two houses on a single lot temporarily while the new home is completed.
Applicants said construction of the new home is well underway, with significant interior work completed over the past year including drywall, mudding, painting and some plastering. Under the requested permit, the existing house would remain occupied during construction and would be abated (removed or decommissioned) when the new house is finished. The application included a condition that the permit may be renewed if needed.
Commissioners moved, seconded and recommended approval to the City Council; staff will forward the recommendation and the permit conditions for council consideration.
