South Euclid-Lyndhurst board approves 7.9-mill levy resolution, dozens of consent items and starts repairs at Brush High School

At its July 22 meeting the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Board of Education voted to submit a 7.9-mill additional property tax levy to district electors and approved a consent agenda that included financial reports, personnel actions, contracts and the start of repairs at Brush High School.

During liaison reports, the board's legislative liaison summarized recent state action on the fiscal 2025 budget bill (House Bill 96) and noted the Ohio House voted to override one of the governor's line-item vetoes; the board recorded the update for informational purposes.

The board approved the treasurer's recommendations, including June 2025 financial reports, bank reconciliations, investment earnings and the renewal of the fiscal year 2025 GAAP audit with Local Government Services. Trustees then approved a resolution to submit the 7.9-mill levy to the Board of Elections for placement on the ballot.
