Tucker said the recommended awards reduce student accident costs by about $32,000 from the prior year and reduce other risk costs by about $14,000, for a total decrease in overall risk insurance of $45,812 compared with the previous year’s costs.
A trustee moved to approve the recommendation “as presented”; the motion was seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve agenda item 6(a), RFP number 24‑235, as presented. President Hodges called the vote and said the motion carried unanimously.
The approval was a formal award of the RFP; no additional conditions or amendments to the recommendation were recorded in the meeting transcript.
