The Saint Paul City Council approved a resolution appointing Laura Logsdon as interim director of the Office of Financial Services and she was sworn into the position during the meeting.
Council President (as identified in the transcript) introduced Resolution 25-805 to approve the appointment of Laura Logsdon effective Friday, May 16. A motion to approve the resolution was made by Ms. Jost and carried 7-0. After the vote, Mr. Wilms administered the oath of office and Laura Logsdon recited the oath and stated she would “discharge faithfully the duties devolving upon me as the interim director of the Office of Financial Services of the City of Saint Paul.”
Logsdon thanked council members, noted she looks forward to building on relationships with city staff following the recent departure of Director McCarthy, and thanked family members in attendance. Council members offered congratulations and expressed appreciation for her leadership during a challenging time for municipal finances.
The council recorded the motion as adopted 7 in favor, none opposed; staff indicated the appointment is effective May 16 (as read on the dais).
