The Huron City Commission on June 16 approved payment request number 1 to Amusement Restoration Companies LLC for restoration work on Splash Central water features and a green waterslide in the amount of $34,250.
A presenter identified as Chad described the request as the down payment for the master blaster and other water-park features. "This is the payment request for the down payment for the, master blaster and the plate features," Chad said. Staff said the work will take place in August after the park closes for the season.
The commission approved the payment by roll call: Smith — aye; Clute — aye; Craig — aye; Harvey — aye; Mayor Robich — aye.
Staff noted the timing was changed from before the season to after the season to avoid disrupting operations. The payment is for contract work referenced as bid number 2025-03 and was presented as a standard payment request.
