The Linn County Board of Commissioners approved burial permit BP2025-07 for Hettinger Excavating LLC to install a water line through county right-of-way near La Seine and Lynn Valley.
Jesse Walton, public works director, said Hettinger provided engineering plans showing the route and road crossings. Walton said the contractor paid required fees and agreed to county conditions, including restoring road surfaces to county standards and attending a pre‑operation meeting.
“Everything they dig up, they gotta put back exactly the way it is,” Walton said, describing the conditions discussed with the contractor. Walton said a pre‑op meeting was scheduled and that county staff would attend.
A commissioner moved to approve burial permit BP2025‑07 for Hettinger Excavating LLC; the motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
The permit record shows the work involves a water line that will run past Danebrooks into Lynn Valley; the applicant is a local company with operations across the state line. County staff noted there were no conflicts with county roads based on the submitted plans.
