The Cleburne City Council unanimously approved a contract with Trigger Roofing and Construction LLC, not to exceed $87,000, to replace the roof and gutters at the City–County Transportation Depot at 208 North Border.
Public works staff said the metal roof and gutters are in disrepair and at the end of their useful lives. The project was included in the FY2025 budget, and staff said the work is expected to qualify for reimbursement through a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) grant.
"This would be a complete replacement, demolition, and proper disposal of the current metal roofing and gutters, replacement with similar materials," said the presenting staff member. The contractor's estimate was approximately $80,000 to $102,000; the council approved a not-to-exceed $87,000 amount to include roughly $7,000 to cover unforeseen issues during removal.
Oliver Cosby moved to approve the contract; Mr. Jones seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
