Clay County commissioners approve proclamations, consent items and two housing authority reappointments

The board approved the May 27, 2025 meeting minutes and the consent agenda (consisting of items 6 through 11) by voice vote recorded as 4-0. No items were pulled from the consent agenda for separate discussion.
Zoning and Planning
A staff-initiated amendment to the land development code related to non-motorized boat ramps in PPO2 zoning districts (Zone 205-8) was continued at the Planning Commissionrequest and the county asked the board to continue the item to the August 12 meeting; the continuation carried 4-0.
Appointments
The board approved the reappointment of Lisa Daniels and Linda Long to the Clay County Housing Finance Authority by unanimous vote, with commissioners noting Long's past service on housing finance matters.
Other ceremonial recognitions included a proclamation honoring the Lake Asbury Junior High Kids Helping Kids Club for raising funds to fulfill a classmate's "dream"; the board adopted that proclamation unanimously as well.
