Camilla H. Ruffin, an attorney assigned to the DeKalb County probate court, told the committee she has worked in the probate office for almost two years under Assistant Chief Judge Bedelia Hargrove and has practiced law for 16 years. "I have from the day that I took my job after admission to the Florida Bar, always been involved in probate, estate planning, and guardianship," Ruffin said during her appearance.
The committee packet described the request as budget neutral and identified the appointment as item 2025‑0784 on the agenda. A motion to approve the item was made during the meeting; the chair voted aye and the motion carried. Committee members indicated no additional questions and thanked Ruffin for her willingness to serve.
