Board of Adjustment approves IVGID community fair permit for July 3 event in Incline Village

The Washoe County Board of Adjustment on June 5 approved an administrative permit for the Incline Village General Improvement District to hold a community fair at 960 Lakeshore Boulevard in Incline Village on July 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Planner Julie Olander, Washoe County, told the board the event is licensed as an outdoor event under county code and that staff and reviewing agencies provided conditions that are included in the permit. "The community fair is anticipating about 500 attendees, and the fair is very informal," Olander said. "It's just a walk in event in the open field." The event will include games, food, a bounce house and community information, and it is free and open to the public.

The board heard no public opposition during the hearing. A motion to approve the administrative permit (case WADMIN25-0004) was made by Kathy Julian and seconded by Rob Pierce; the motion passed unanimously.

The staff report notes that 23 parcels were noticed for the application and that no written public comments were received. Planner Olander said applicable agency conditions are incorporated into the recommended approval. The board's approval was made after finding the required findings under the Washoe County development code as stated in the staff report.

The applicant, represented on the record by Kristen Lee, did not present additional materials at the hearing but was available to answer questions. The permit includes the routine conditions proposed by reviewing agencies; the staff report lists those conditions in full.
