County purchasing office reports dozens of bids, 17 contracts executed and RFPs for airport restaurant operation

The purchasing officer said the office completed bids for waste-tire removal, cleaning of EHA lines for the Department of Public Works, lawn-mowing services, canned goods and groceries, 2025 guide-rail replacement and epoxy-coated reinforcing steel and fabrication for DPW. The office reported that it extended seven bids, issued one formal quote and has 13 requests for proposals currently outstanding.
For the reporting period the office said it issued seven bids, executed 17 contracts and processed about 300 purchase orders. The office also reported an active RFP for chemicals and maintenance and an RFP for the operation of the restaurant at the Sullivan County Airport.
Committee members had no follow-up questions during the update.
