Lake Myra Elementary calendar conversion Staff recommended converting Lake Myra Elementary from a single-track calendar to a multi-track calendar for the 2026–27 school year. The motion to approve the staff recommendation was made by Board Member Kristen Mahaffey and seconded by Board Member Miss Caulfield. After no board discussion, the chair called for a voice vote and the motion was adopted.
SRO contracts for county municipalities (2025–26) Board staff said a service contract originally filed for the consent agenda had listed only the City of Raleigh; the board removed other municipality SRO contracts from consent to consider them as a separate action item for transparency. Scott (staff) presented the contracts and described the SRO program, which the board said includes about 80 officers across the district. Board Member Mahaffey moved to accept the contracts; Miss Caulfield seconded. The board approved the contracts by voice vote.
