Board of Supervisors adopts series of ordinances, appropriations and grant actions; certificates of participation authorized

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on June 3 voted to approve a slate of ordinances, appropriations and resolutions covering financing, departmental appropriations, contract modifications and grant increases.

The board took unanimous or unanimous-in-voice action on more than a dozen items that had been placed on the consent or regular agendas. Actions included authorization for the sale of certificates of participation to refund prior debt, several appropriations and grant agreements for homelessness services, a reappropriation of ambulance service revenue to the Fire Department to cover projected overtime, and a $32 million increase and four-year extension for an SFO capital program support services contract.

The votes were taken largely without extended debate. Several items were recorded as passed on first reading or adopted "same house, same call" after roll-call confirmations. In some cases the clerk recorded an 11-0 tally; other items were adopted by unanimous voice when permitted by procedure.
