House passes Contraceptive Access for All Act to require insurance coverage without cost sharing

On the floor, Krueger called the bill "contraceptive care is health care, plain and simple" and said the act would protect access amid changes at the federal level. The Clerk recorded final passage: yeas 116, nays 87. The bill will be transmitted to the Senate for concurrence.
The bill requires coverage without cost sharing in health insurance policies and in Medicaid and CHIP managed care plans for contraceptive products and services. The enrolled bill and legislative analysis will specify statutory text, effective dates and implementation processes for insurers and plan administrators.
