Board approves routine agenda items, SCOPE agreement and personnel appointments; new athletic director recognized

The board approved a motion to accept the minutes for the April 24 board meeting and the BOCES budget meeting; the motion was moved by Miss Capers and seconded by Miss Wong and was approved by voice vote.
The board voted to authorize a professional membership affiliation agreement between the district and SCOPE Education Services. The motion was moved by Miss Rudd, seconded by Miss Wong and carried.
Curriculum items A through M were moved by Miss O'Donohue and seconded by Mr. Redden and approved by the board, as were finance and operations items A through G; professional personnel items A through U; civil service items A through Q; and support services items A through C. The legal agenda—three resolutions listed as items A through C—was also approved.
On personnel, the board publicly recognized Eric Banks, who was recommended to the board for appointment as athletic director and chairperson of physical education and health at Elmont Memorial High School. The personnel motion package that followed (professional personnel items A through U) included the appointment and was approved by the board.
All motions carried by voice vote; the meeting transcript records "All in favor? Aye. Motion carries" for each item but does not include roll-call tallies.
