The Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees adopted the consent agenda by unanimous vote, approving a batch of routine and operational items listed on the agenda.
Items identified on the consent agenda included approval of curriculum materials, memoranda of understanding with Paul Quinn College and Wiley University, an Apple lease agreement for a student-device refresh, and a contract with Infinitus Learning not to exceed $125,000, among other procurement and routine minutes and reports. The board president called for the motion; trustees approved and the chair announced the motion carried unanimously.
Trustees did not discuss each item individually in open session; the board maintained that members had had access to the full supporting documentation in the board packet. Questions on specific consent items were deferred to staff and will be addressed by the departments responsible for each item.
Board members confirmed that the Apple lease and other contracts will be monitored administratively and that staff will return to the board with implementation details as appropriate. Several trustees referenced follow-up in later work sessions for one of the consent items (the board budget/operating procedures review will be discussed in June).
