Commission postpones several items and acknowledges staff transitions
Summary

At the meeting the commission voted to continue or postpone several agenda items for later hearings. Items 2, 7, 17 and 21 were continued to June 3, 2025; Item 3 was continued to Sept. 2, 2025; and Item 15 and other complex cases were set for a two‑week continuance to June 3, 2025 after public comment and requests for additional site‑plan details.
Commissioners and staff explained the reasons for continuance: several items required additional public outreach, clearer site‑plan materials, or more detailed circulation and parking information. Where community members requested more time to review proposals or where staff requested additional documentation, commissioners approved motions for continuance by roll call.
The commission also approved the minutes from the May 6 meeting. In the director’s report the planning manager accepted a new role in another city department; commissioners thanked the manager for years of service and wished her well.
Postponed items will return to the commission’s calendar on the dates set; staff advised applicants to work with planning staff and neighborhood groups to resolve outstanding site‑plan and code compliance issues before the next hearing.
