Main Street Fort Pierce reports reaccreditation, visitor gains and volunteer value in quarterly update

Main Street Fort Pierce reported to the City of Fort Pierce Commission on May 19 that the downtown nonprofit has been reaccredited for 2025 and continues to drive visitor activity, business support and volunteer engagement in the historic downtown.
The quarterly presentation, given by Donna Sizemore, president of Main Street Fort Pierce, explained why the organization sought and received reaccreditation from Main Street America and Florida Main Street for accomplishments in 2024. Sizemore said the status recognizes the group’s work on economic vitality, design, organization and promotion and will support continued fundraising and program work.
Main Street leaders told commissioners the downtown area led St. Lucie County in visitor destination share from January through March of this year, accounting for 16.3 percent of measured visits (excluding the marina).
