WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — At its Jan. 27 meeting the Wheat Ridge City Council voted unanimously on several administrative items and bylaws updates.
Key outcomes:
- Council Bill 02-2025 (boards and commissions membership): Approved an amendment clarifying that board and commission members who move to another council district within the city may continue representing their appointed district until their term ends. The ordinance takes effect 15 days after final publication.
- Resolution 06-2025 (bylaws for IDEA and Sustainable Wheat Ridge): Amended committee bylaws so term dates conform with other boards, commissions and committees (the Election Commission remains governed by the Home Rule Charter). The resolution aims to standardize terms to support recruitment and outreach.
Procedural notes: These items were non-quasi-judicial public hearings or resolutions with no public speakers signed up during the item-specific comment periods. Each motion carried with "all ayes, no nays."
