Waco ISD reviews legacy-naming plans for new Waco High and approves demolition change order

A Waco High historical committee member outlined proposed legacy names for portions of the district's new Waco High School while the board voted to approve a contract change order to begin demolition work on the existing campus.

"I'm so excited. We're gonna have a academic wing named Ram Place, you know, a nod to Richfield, an academic wing named Tiger Square, a nod to all the Waco high schools. You know, there was Waco high downtown. There was Waco high North nineteenth Street. There's the current Waco high," a historical committee member said during the agenda item to review the committee's legacy project.
