Commission staff told the commission the proposal would construct a rooftop terrace on a recently approved rear addition, remove a second‑floor window and replace it with a door to access the new roof, and repair or paint a cement‑board water table to better blend with the foundation. Staff recommended approval of application COA2400566, citing city code standards for alteration and window‑replacement guidelines, and asked that the applicant submit a photo of a painted sample so staff can verify the match.
At the meeting staff reported the applicant submitted a revised door illustration showing a single door in the existing window footprint and proposed to match the stair and rooftop railings. Commissioners discussed keeping the alteration within the existing opening footprint to minimize masonry removal and agreed a single door would reduce the extent of changes to the brick and lintel. The commission added a condition that revised drawings be submitted to staff showing the single door and that the railings match the approved rooftop system.
