Los Angeles City Council approves routine reports, continues two items and recesses into closed session

The Los Angeles City Council on July 13 approved multiple routine committee reports and motions, continued two items to later dates and recessed into closed session under the California code.

The council voted 11–0 to adopt the Budget and Finance Committee report on item 1, which had also generated a separate Governmental Efficiency Committee report. Councilmember Weiss moved the motion; the clerk recorded 11 ayes. Members then approved the Budget and Finance Committee reports covering items 2, 3 and 5; the clerk recorded 11 ayes on that vote as well.

Item 4, which the council called special after a public comment card was submitted, received public comment and was approved by the council after roll call; the transcript does not record a numerical roll tally for that item. Earlier in the meeting the council continued item 8 on the continuation agenda at the applicant’s request to July 20 without objection.
