Don Malloy, president of the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce, gave an update to the City Council on March 6 highlighting membership growth, signature events and member services.
Malloy said the chamber added 44 new members since the end of the previous year and reported a total membership of about 178 after removing long-delinquent accounts. He described membership benefits such as directory listings, social-media promotion, banner ads, spotlights and event calendars, and said the chamber hosted roughly a dozen ribbon cuttings in the past year as new businesses have opened in the city.
Malloy presented outreach metrics: about 68,000 views on Facebook, 5,000 views on Instagram and roughly 9,000 website visits with 16,000 page views. He previewed the chamber’s signature events for 2025, including the mayor’s prayer breakfast on May 1, an installation and community awards dinner in July, a fall state-of-the-city event and a job fair. Malloy said the chamber keeps ticket prices low through sponsorships and offers networking and advocacy services to support local businesses.
Councilmembers thanked Malloy for the update and asked about total membership; Malloy confirmed the approximately 178-member total after administrative adjustments.
