The Oakland County Board of Commissioners approved routine items and moved one sponsorship request to committee during its meeting.
Minutes and agenda: The board approved the minutes from the Feb. 11 meeting and then approved the meeting agenda as presented. The minutes approval was moved by Commissioner Lueb (recorded as Luebz in the transcript) and seconded by Commissioner Long; the agenda was moved by Commissioner Lueb and seconded by Commissioner Smiley. Both motions were approved unanimously, the clerk recorded.
Communications: The board received one communication dated March 3, 2025, from County Executive David Coulter reappointing Jeanette Bradshaw of Ortonville to the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan board of directors for a three-year term beginning April 1, 2025 and expiring March 31, 2028. The chair moved to receive the communication; the board voted to receive it unanimously.
Consent agenda: The board moved the consent agenda (moved by Commissioner Hoffman; seconded by Commissioner Powell). Commissioner Taylor announced the tally as 17 yeas, 0 nays, and the consent agenda was adopted. The transcript records the chair saying the consent agenda was adopted and that the items had been moved to the regular agenda as appropriate.
New and miscellaneous business: Commissioner Anne Erickson Gault asked that a request for sponsorship of the fifth annual Madison Heights Juneteenth Festival be referred to the finance committee; the request was referred without objection.
