Board approves low bids for concrete patching and two traffic-signal improvements

Staff reported five bids were received for the concrete pavement patching and sign project and recommended the low bidder, Wandell Contractors, for $681,597.50. Payne moved to recommend award and Kevin Riley seconded; the board voted unanimously to approve the recommendation.
For the West Sunset Drive and Oakdale Drive signal project, staff reported two bids and recommended the low bid from Zenith Tech for $393,889.30. A motion and second were made and the board voted to recommend award. During discussion staff noted that a related project with a neighboring town remains delayed pending additional input from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Both motions passed with recorded ayes from Cassin, Kevin Riley, Piper, O'Donnell and Payne. Staff will proceed with contract recommendations and next steps in accordance with city procurement procedures.
