The Village of Lombard Board of Trustees approved a $1,000,000 transfer from the hotel-motel tax fund to the building fund to support the construction of a new public safety building.
The transfer and an accompanying amendment to the fiscal year 2025 budget were recommended by the Finance and Administration Committee. The committee's recommendation asked the board to move hotel-motel tax revenues to prioritize building reserves that will fund public-safety construction.
A motion to approve the transfer passed on a roll-call vote with all present trustees voting yes.
The agenda item described the transfer as a recommendation “to transfer $1,000,000 from the hotelmotel tax fund to the building fund for construction of a new public safety building.” The board also requested a waiver of first reading for the ordinance to amend the FY2025 budget to reflect the transfer.
