The IRPS committee voted to approve a change order assigning the county—s multi-year uniform security guard contract (Contract No. 2000048) to a new owner after the awardee was acquired by another company.
Procurement staff said the original contract, which provides armed and unarmed security guard services across county facilities, expired in February 2024 and was re-bid and awarded to Pinnacle Security (DBA Paradigm Security Services). After the award, staff said Pinnacle was purchased by another firm and the change order updates the documentation to reflect the new ownership: Universal Protection Service LLC, doing business as Allied Universal. Staff confirmed there will be no changes to existing contract terms or conditions.
A motion to approve item 2025-0145 was made and seconded by committee members; the chair called the question and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
The committee did not change the contract scope, term or funding as part of the assignment; staff will update contract records to reflect the ownership change.
