The Kosciusko County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution directing the county to acquire liens and conduct a commissioner's sale of two delinquent tax sale certificates under Indiana Code 6-1.1-24.
The county attorney read a resolution that lists two properties in the Lakeland Sewer District. The resolution directs the Kosciusko County auditor to issue tax sale certificates to the board pursuant to Indiana Code 6-1.1-24-6 and -9, acquire liens, and then sell the certificates at a properly advertised commissioner sale. The board authorized SRI Incorporated to conduct the sale and directed the auditor and SRI Incorporated to publish notice in accordance with state law.
The resolution attached an exhibit with short descriptions and prior amounts due from a previous tax sale. One parcel, owned by CJR Holding LLC, was listed with a previous amount due of $153,442.95 on roughly a half-acre parcel. The other parcel, owned by Richard Young, was listed with a prior amount due of $90,433.19 on about 0.11 acres. The resolution set a minimum sale price of $250 per delinquent property, inclusive of county costs directly attributable to the sale.
