Wayne Select Board approves warrants, payroll and grants $1,363.71 abatement

The Town of Wayne Select Board approved several warrants and payroll items and, after an executive session on abatement applications, voted to grant an abatement of $1,363.71.
On routine business the board approved accounts payable warrant No. 29 in the amount of $329,966.05, payroll warrant No. 30 in the amount of $8,269.85, and accounts payable No. 301 in the amount of $269,961.28. Board members discussed items in the warrants briefly (school payment timing, cemetery association payment, transfer station contract) and approved the warrants by voice vote; the meeting record notes “All in favor.”
Later in the meeting the board entered executive session pursuant to 36 M.R.S.A. §8412 to deliberate on an abatement application. After returning from executive session, the board moved, seconded and voted to grant an abatement in the amount of $1,363.71 in case number 2025001, citing Title 36 M.R.S.A. §8412. The motion carried by voice vote with no roll-call recorded.
Separately, the board tabled approval of meeting minutes to allow staff to review an omitted motion from a prior meeting (the minutes require an amendment to reflect a motion authorizing a not-to-exceed fund for MMA posting).
