Council approves consent calendar; city lists $3.6M in payments including fire apparatus and pickleball construction

The Paso Robles City Council approved the consent calendar unanimously, voting to accept 11 routine items including meeting minutes, advisory-body minutes, human-resources updates, and a warrant register that included several large payments.
Staff noted that since the last meeting the city had made payments totaling approximately $3,600,000. Highlighted disbursements included $874,533.41 to South Coast Fire Equipment for a Pierce combination pumper fire apparatus; $235,617.40 to Custom Truck One Source for a bucket truck; $125,332.21 to Leo Tidwell Excavating for EDA grant fiber network installation; $531,374.01 to WestRock General Engineering for road repair work; $240,629.54 to JJ Fisher Construction for the Sherwood Park pickleball complex work; $419,370.36 to CalPortland Construction for additional road repairs; and a $116,777.85 pass-through payment to Travel Paso (Paso Robles destination) for an improvement district assessment.
Council member Tim Gregory moved to approve items 1 through 10 on the consent agenda; Council member Carlton Strong seconded. The roll-call vote was unanimous.
One consent item (an amendment to conditions of approval for the Hotel Aver project) was pulled for separate discussion and later acted on by the council. Staff said surplus property listed for disposal did not include real property; the list pertained to equipment and vehicles that reached the end of useful life.
