Commissioners moved and seconded the action and approved forwarding the report by voice vote. "This comes annually, as you know, and it—s really our pretty much our self-grading of the wastewater facility, which is reviewed by the DNR," a staff presenter said during the discussion, noting the plant—s effluent and biosolids performance had been very good and that a headworks screening project will begin this month.
Commissioner Robinson made the motion to forward the CMAR and Commissioner Watson seconded. The commission then voted in favor; the transcript records the passage by voice vote but does not provide a roll-call tally.
Staff said the resolution and report would go to City Council for approval, which staff indicated will occur next week in mid-June. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about phosphorus removal trends and suspended solids; staff said the plant currently meets and exceeds effluent requirements and that they are monitoring incremental trends in total suspended solids and phosphorus.
The commission did not adopt additional requirements beyond forwarding the CMAR and requested no further immediate action other than council consideration.
