DEM schedules radiation and authorized-user trainings this summer

John Fansler told the working group he will lead two radiation-related trainings in July in Las Vegas and that the division plans an authorized-user training in August.
"I will be heading down to Las Vegas to teach a nerd class...and a hospital radiation class in July," Fansler said, and added that dates for an authorized-user course are still being finalized and will be posted when set.
Fansler asked jurisdictions to watch DEM postings for registration and dates. No formal action was taken; the segment was an informational update so jurisdictions can plan staff attendance.
