Wendell — The Wendell Town Board approved staff recommendations to prequalify engineering firms for on‑call development review and stormwater services and authorized the town manager to negotiate and sign master service agreements.
Staff described a competitive RFQ process in which firms self‑identified the scopes they sought to provide; the board approved four firms for development review (AMT, Kimley‑Horn, McAdams, LJB) and six firms to be on the stormwater prequalified list (McAdams, Timmons, Withers, Ravenel, Geosyntec, AMT). Staff said prequalification does not guarantee work; specific assignments will be issued through negotiated task orders and master service agreements.
The purchasing and contracts manager has begun drafting master service agreements for these firms. Staff noted that if the town cannot reach an agreement with a selected firm, it may negotiate with the next most qualified firm. The board’s motion authorized the town manager to execute negotiated contracts for on‑call development review and stormwater services and passed by voice vote.
