The Contoocook Valley School District communications committee told the board on May 20 that it will host a community forum on June 4 in partnership with the New Hampshire School Funding Fairness Project.
The one-hour forum will review how New Hampshire funds public schools, why the committee and the partner group say the system leads to unequal tax burdens and unequal opportunities for students across the state, and how recent court rulings relate to local data. The presentation will include a question-and-answer session and district leaders encouraged board members and residents to attend.
