The committee received an update on a previously tabled demolition order for a property identified in the meeting as 271.
Staff said they have coordinated meetings involving the property owner, the owner’s engineer, the city code office and the city legal office to walk through available options. Staff reported the engineer’s report has been received and that the city and property owner will meet on Wednesday to review next steps.
Committee members said neighborhood stakeholders have voiced concerns and asked for a coordinated, in-person discussion so all parties can hear the same information. Staff said they will circulate a memo to councilors and noted the matter was postponed to a date certain; because of that scheduling the item will proceed to the full City Council rather than return first to the committee.
Staff indicated they would prepare information for a pre-council session if the committee or councilors request it. No final council action was recorded in the committee transcript; staff said they will provide updates after the multi-party meeting and ahead of the council consideration.
