The Wright County Board of Supervisors approved routine items during its May 12 meeting: the county will allow the farmers market to use the courthouse parking lot for the 2025 season, and the board voted to continue participation with CICS for mental health and disability services following CICS’s notice of regional changes effective June 30, 2025.
Supervisors also authorized the chairman to sign a final voucher for the state Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program project (BRS swap CO99100FF99) for Bridge Number 8 on R75; staff said the payment had effectively been made and the signature completes the state finance paperwork.
Adam (Wright County assistant engineer) provided a secondary roads update: routine blade and dust‑control work, hauling of contracted rock (12,290 tons called for engineer miles, 63 of 64 miles complete), and mowing progress in multiple zones. The engineer reported a bridge deck pour had been postponed once for temperature/evaporation conditions that would have risked cracking; the pour was rescheduled for Thursday and otherwise on schedule. The roads office also plans to narrow a wide segment of 270th Street to restore crown and improve drainage.
The board approved motions on the farmers market use and to remain in the MHDS arrangement; motions carried. No controversial issues were raised during these agenda items.
