Warden reports inmate admissions, releases, transports and work-release activity

Warden Lawrence presented the jail's monthly statistics and transportation counts and the work-release supervisor submitted the monthly work-release report; the prison board accepted both reports.

Warden Lawrence told the board that in December the jail recorded 44 male admissions and 21 female admissions, alongside 56 male releases and 21 female releases. He reported the jail's in-custody medical transports for the period included four hospital runs, one orthopedic transport, 15 specialist transports and 13 dialysis trips for a total of 33 outside medical transports. The warden said the dialysis trips reflect repeated trips for a single person who requires treatment three times per week.

The warden also reported population figures as of Dec. 31, 2024: he stated the jail held 102 males and 22 females for a total of 124 inmates. In the meeting he referenced an average-population figure for December; the transcript included a numeric inconsistency on the average-population line, and the board accepted the warden's report for the record.

Work-release supervisor Mr. Schubach reported the monthly work-release status: the program started the month with three individuals, one participant successfully completed the program and another had a sentence modification to weekend-privilege status. The report packet included revenue numbers and an in-house work report; the work-release supervisor said revenue details were submitted but did not read specific dollar amounts aloud.

The board voted to accept the warden's report and the work-release report by voice vote during the meeting. The board also discussed overtime distribution among staff and noted that mandatory and voluntary overtime trends had shifted toward a more even distribution of extra hours among employees.
