Trousdale County board approves resolution to cover four teachers for Education Freedom Act bonuses

The supplement is $2,000 per teacher, for a local total of $8,000.
Board members and staff stressed they wanted as many eligible teachers as possible to receive the bonus, and that the resolution was an administrative requirement to allow the district to pay the supplement for those four employees.
The board did not identify any other funding source changes tied to this vote; the motion specified only the resolution and the supplemental payment for the four teachers.
The board moved on to other items following the vote, acknowledging the decision required only the formal resolution to release the supplement to the identified teachers.
