Another board member noted that if the vendor can obtain a lower price before final purchase, the board can apply any remaining balance to additional playground pieces.
Elliot moved the motion to approve the purchase at a not-to-exceed $13,800, which was seconded and carried by voice vote. Board discussion emphasized that the spreadsheet of ARPA earmarks is an overview and that the purchase will be encumbered and finalized in January to align with pricing and possible vendor sales. The parks department is to encumber the ARPA funds and complete the purchase order and installation scheduling.
