District appeal/hearing officer The board approved Jeff Lowe as the district's hearing appeal officer after noting that the previous officer, attorney David Steed, recently passed away. The administration thanked Steed for his service.
Ruth Clark principal appointment The board approved the appointment of Katie Zimmerman as the next principal of Ruth Clark Elementary. Zimmerman has served as an elementary assistant principal in the district, dividing time between Rex and Nelson elementaries for the last two years. Zimmerman said she is "really excited to start working over there at Ruth Clark" and thanked the committee that interviewed candidates.
Other consent items Board members also acknowledged recent gifts and grants to the district and expressed appreciation for district donors and staff. The board voted 5-0 to approve the consent agenda.
